Winter Winds

0 min read
Sweet and spicy fall has passed so quickly. I was enjoying the leaves ablaze and the crisp winds all too much. The mornings now smell of snow but there is no snow to be seen yet, tho we may have some before the week is out. Polar Bears and igloos have been on my mind today... and my sketchbook reflects that. Lets see if i can turn one of these doodles into a work of art. Time to break out the quilted winter coats, tomorrow there will be "Arctic Winds" at 40 mph. Just glad I'm not on the east coast, praying for you poor souls! But in the horsey compartment of my life there is good news- I will be adding a new mare to my exercise riding list

Today I payed way more than I ever thought I would pay for a Dressage lesson. But it was with a former Olympian and it was terrible and fantastic at the same time. I was a train wreck, it was my first dressage lesson in 5 years and I had forgotten so many nuances... ok i had forgotten almost everything! But I believe i can learn so much from her and I need make myself more appealing to future and current clients when I return to Indiana (as an exercise rider). Long story short the teaching was so good and the weather so hot that I blacked out. I jumped off the lesson horse right before I was about to fall off. I always feel a little woozy in
